Be more practical than theoretical!!!

 Reading books is a good hobby.But,I don't think,it will provide a sound knowledge about things.We read story books or magazines just to have a fun or to keep us away from boredom.We are reading these books casually.Still,it retains in our mind as if we have watched a film visually.We,humans have a great imaginative power but,I don't think that we are using it efficiently while reading technical engineering books.I am not throwing the blame upon you but I personally feel bitter to say that it is the education system which is primary responsible for the decline in sound (practical)knowledge of the students.

Memory power is a marvellous power possessed by us.But,will it help us to introduce innovations in the world?

I have completed a year in school of engineering.But,I really feel guilty of not having practical knowledge about the working of the common basic gadgets.Nowadays,marks just washed away the real identity of a person.Everyone is labelled by the marks.I don't think,3-hours of examination will judge a person's potential completely.Presenting the ideas in a nut-shell,that too in a stipulated time is a skill.I too appreciate it.They should be awarded.But,my point is that,potential,skill,ideas,attitude are all different aspects of a person.It can not be determined by writing the memorized answers.One should be provided with a practical knowledge so that they can think deeper about that subject and can innovate things.I personally opine that,"ANYTHING THAT IS BROUGHT OUT OF COMPULSION WILL NOT PRODUCE GOOD RESULTS".Students should be allowed to think freely."WHERE THERE IS A FREEDOM OF THOUGHT,THERE IS AN INVENTION".The main aim of the institutions should be "To provide a deep practical knowledge to the students".

All the theories,we students can understand by reading the book itself.So,the need of the teachers/guide/mentor is to engage the students practically in the field they are interested.One more thing is that,there should be flexibility.It means students should be given a full right for choosing the subjects so that,they will shine in that particular field.If students are allowed to learn practically,then,there will be no need to memorize the subject.

So,I feel,the system of education should be revamped.
